What I write
Most business owners know their work inside and out but don't have the time, or the patience, to write 15 web pages about it. That's where I come in. I write:
- Service pages: one page per main service, so each one can match the specific searches people run, like "water heater replacement" instead of a single vague "services" page
- City and service-area pages: pages for the places you actually serve, each with real, local detail (more on that at local SEO)
- FAQs: real customer questions with direct answers, on each page and in a central FAQ section
- Blogs: articles of 750 words or more that answer questions in depth and give search engines fresh, useful pages to find
- Monthly newsletters: a regular note to your customer list with seasonal tips, reminders and news
- The core pages: home, about and contact, written in a voice that sounds like you
Written for SEO and AEO from the first sentence
Every page I write follows the same structure: a direct answer up front, details after, then FAQs. That structure serves two audiences at once.
For SEO, or search engine optimization, it means each page clearly matches what people search for, with headings that use the words customers actually type. For AEO, or answer engine optimization, it means the key answer sits in a short, clear paragraph that AI Overviews, ChatGPT or a voice assistant can lift out and quote.
Google's guidance asks for content created primarily for people, not to manipulate search rankings. I take that literally. If a page wouldn't help a real customer decide, it doesn't belong on your site. You can read more about the difference between the two at SEO and AEO.
How I gather the information
If you don't have content ready, you don't need any. I do the gathering. Here's what I collect:
- Your business basics: services, service areas, hours, licensing and how customers reach you
- Your story: how you got started, what you care about, and what makes your work different
- How you actually do the job: the steps, the equipment, the questions customers ask most
- Your competitors: what they cover and what they leave out, so your pages fill the gaps instead of copying them
- Your photos: real pictures of your team, your work and your trucks, which beat stock images every time
Usually this is a conversation, a few follow-up texts and a look at your existing website, Google Business Profile and reviews. Then I write the pages, you review them, and we adjust. Content can be changed any time after launch, so nothing is set in stone.
Why this isn't generic AI filler
I'll be straight with you: I use modern writing tools, including AI, to help research, outline and draft. Pretending otherwise would be silly. But a tool doesn't know that you only service units you've installed, that you don't work Sundays, or that you've been the go-to company in your neighborhood for repiping old homes.
That's the difference. Every page I publish is built from facts I gathered about your business and then checked against them line by line. I take out anything vague, anything that could apply to any company in any city, and anything I can't confirm.
Google is clear on this too. Its guidance says using generative AI to produce large amounts of text without manual oversight shows little effort, and mass-producing pages mainly to rank is against its spam policies. Pages with real, specific detail are what both people and search engines reward.
Accuracy comes first
Wrong information on a website costs you twice: once when a customer is misled, and again when an AI tool repeats it. So I hold every page to a few rules:
- No made-up statistics, results or claims
- Any industry fact gets checked against an authoritative source and linked
- Your phone number, service areas and hours match everywhere they appear
- No promises you can't keep, like guaranteed same-day service if you don't offer it
When something changes, like a new service or a new city, I update the page so your site stays the source of truth.
You own every word
The content I write for you is yours. If you ever move on, your pages, blogs and newsletters go with you, along with your domain. I don't hold content hostage, and I don't reuse your pages for another client.
Content writing can be part of a new custom website or an ongoing piece of my Internet Optimization Plan. Every project is quoted to the work involved. Call or text me at 480-550-2871 and tell me what your site needs to say.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to write anything myself?
No, you don't have to write anything. I gather the information through a conversation, a few follow-up questions, and a look at your current site, profile and reviews. Then I write the pages and you review them. Your input is about facts and approval, not writing, so the content stays accurate without eating up your time.
Do you use AI to write content?
Yes, I use modern tools, including AI, to help research and draft, and I'm open about it. What makes the difference is that every page is built from facts I gathered about your business and then checked against them. I remove anything vague, generic or unverified before it goes live, so the result reads like your business, not a template.
How long are your blog posts?
Each blog post runs 750 words or more. That's long enough to answer a question thoroughly, with examples and FAQs, without padding. Length on its own doesn't rank a page, so I aim for complete answers rather than word counts. Each post links to a related service page so readers know where to go next.
Can blogs and newsletters really publish automatically?
Yes, once the articles are written and approved, they publish on a set schedule without you doing anything. I run scheduled blogs and monthly newsletters for clients now. You still see and approve the topics, and I can pause, change or add posts whenever something in your business changes, like a new service or a seasonal promotion.
Can I change the content after the site launches?
Yes, content can be changed at any time after launch. I launch quickly and then refine the pages with you as you see how customers respond. If you add a service, change your hours or move into a new area, I update the affected pages so your website, profile and listings all stay consistent.
